Centre of Cognition and Emotion Research

Jan 03 - Jan 06, 2018

The conference will retain the single session format of previous PM conferences, and will include paper and poster presentations and the popular mid-conference day trip. Other conference highlights will include a topical debate session and events for student and early career researchers.

Brief Program Outline

Wednesday 3 January Evening Welcome Reception and Opening Presentation Session

To allow our international delegates time to arrive, the conference will commence on Wednesday 3 January with an early evening Welcome Reception, Opening Presentation Session and time to enjoy drinks and canapés.

Thursday 4 January Full day Program: Paper and Poster Presentations and Data Blitz Session

Space for individual presentations will be limited, however a data blitz poster session will provide an opportunity for delegates to showcase posters and give short oral presentations of their research.

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.

The evening will be free to make your own dinner arrangements in Melbourne, Australia’s food capital for casual and fine dining.

Friday 5 January Morning Program: Single Session Paper Presentations
Afternoon Trip: Day trip to the picturesque Yarra Valley Region

The morning program will continue with Single Session Paper Presentations. We encourage delegates to then join the organised day trip – a fun afternoon exploring the picturesque Yarra Valley, Victoria’s premier wine region. This memorable trip will include a visit to Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary, Victoria’s Bushland Haven for Australian native animals – cuddly koalas, jumping kangaroos and Australia’s majestic birds of prey. We will then travel to an award-winning winery, where you will have the opportunity to taste local wines and enjoy a 3-course dinner at Oakridge Restaurant, in the heart of the Yarra Valley.

Morning tea and a packed lunch will be provided.

Saturday 6 January Full day Program: Paper Presentation, Final day of Conference

Final day of paper presentations with the program concluding late afternoon.

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
